these last two weeks...

So I am still on the job hunt, though it may almost be completed. I have an interview at Crossroads, a famiy restaurant in Elmira. Some of you may know that I have worked there in the past in the kitchen, but if this interview goes well, I will become a part time server. Although it is part time, I plan on staying busy. I am making some flyers for tutoring around town. Many of the parents from the local school know me because I have completed a co-op there a year and a half ago. Mom mentioned my idea to a couple of the boys friends and I already have two people to tutor. It will be great expereince and another great form of income.

So this week has began and it has been a bit hectic. I have been helpign out my aunt trish because a week before school was out, my aunt broke her leg. I've been helping out a couple days a week with cleaning, laundry, being there for company etc. Yesterday, I took aunt trish out a bit. She had to get a fiberglass cast, get her license renewed and we even went to walmart (they have these great scooters that you can use that come in really handy). We bout some shoes for the kids and stuff. Then we went back to her place and were surprised to see a car in the drive way... Uncle john was home. We found out that he had been called from work because ariel, my cousin, was sent home from school because she had head lice. Later on that night after I went home, they found out that aunt trisha had it too. By morning, mark, my other cousin had it.

So this morning i was cleaning windows for my mom and my uncle called to tell me all of this, he had to go to work and was kind of panicked to have all of the kids home, with lice and a wife with a broken leg. So I came, completely stripped the beds etc and now they have clean laundry. I feel a bit like a maid these last couple weeks.

I hope that every one is having a great spring/early summer!

Oh lice. What a horrible thing to deal with. It's wonderful for your aunt to be able to count on you.
